On Saturday, nine hardy members of KYANA braved freezing temperatures to participate in the first field trip of the year.
The outcrop was a little muddy, but not too bad.
It's an Ordovician site with abundant brachiopods, gastropods and cephalopods.
Bryozoan, solitary corals and trilobites can also be found.
All in all a good turnout and a good time.
Special thanks to Michael Popp for providing pictures of the specimens that he collected. Congratulations, Michael, for finding the only trilobite!
